What is Alien Hominid Invasion about?

After Alien Hominid gets shot down and lands on earth like the first game other hominid's in a space ship up in space decide they wanna fight back and cause an invasion, however, the ship won't land on earth until another 15 or so years so the events of the first game come and go without anything else happening, eventually time passes and the invasion happens causing the FBI and other eneimies to fight back once again

What is the game/gameplay like?

The game gameplay wise is very similar to the original, you run around and shoot FBI agents, robots etc. but this time around there are new mechanics like diving and being able to ride enemies on jetpacks, there are also proper objectives like having to grab intel (pieces of paper) by killing enemies, moving an object from one place to another without getting hit too many times etc., after enough objectives have been completed you can go back into the mothership and continue with the mission you are currently on or you can continue to get more intel for extra points

like the first game you get points added to a score counter depending on how well you did (how much damage you took, how many enemies you killed etc.), you'll also get a grade for each portion depending on how well you did (example: if you killed a lot more enemies than the average you'll get an A+)

also like the first game you can customize your hominid but unlike the first game you can customize more than just the hat they're wearing, you can now customize your hominid's colors (pigments), weapon, stats etc. by getting loot boxes from levels, buying them at hideouts or leveling up your hominid by getting XP from fighting enemies and such in levels

There were 3 betas/demos for the game ahead of release:

the 1st beta was from September 13th-20th 2020, the 2nd beta was from November 12th-14th 2021 and the 3rd and final (non beta) demo was from June 19th-26th 2023
